Chair Brodeur’s recommended appointments to boards were confirmed: Rich Folaron to the 911 Board, Barry Culham to the Mid‑West Michigan Trail Authority and Mark Agnew to the Veterans Advisory Board (motion moved by Commissioner Cindy Garber, seconded by Commissioner Josh Haley; motion carried). The board also authorized refilling a part‑time youth center position in Family Court not to exceed 30 hours per week; that motion (moved by Commissioner Garber, seconded by Commissioner Brad Howard) carried by recorded roll call 7–0.
Commissioner Cindy Garber moved, and Commissioner Bill Johnson seconded, approval of 2025 budget adjustments as presented; the motion carried by a 7–0 roll call vote. The board approved committee minutes from Jan. 12 for both the Economic & Physical Development Committee and the Finance & Administration Development Committee.
During closing remarks Chair Gregory Brodeur reported on Community Mental Health and noted that the State of Michigan is pursuing major structural changes; he said the county Landbank is performing well and County Administrator Dr. Boggs will prepare a three‑year Landbank accomplishments report for the board. Administrator Boggs introduced Jordon Newman as a new intern in the administration office. An audit is scheduled to begin with presentation to the board expected in May; the chair also mentioned a vehicle for Drug Court and ongoing contract negotiations with three courts.
The meeting began at 5:00 p.m. and adjourned at 5:36 p.m.; the clerk attested to the minutes.
