Floor leader moved for adoption and the motion was seconded; Representative John Paul Sablan, chair of the house conferees, described the conference as a negotiated compromise and noted that portions of the spending may be eligible for FEMA reimbursement if criteria are met. "We met and offered our amendments to improve the proposed legislation," Sablan said, urging members to support the conference committee report.
Members discussed the intent and reimbursement possibility. The clerk recorded a roll-call vote in which all 19 members present voted yes; the Speaker declared the conference committee report adopted. The measure now moves forward according to House rules for implementation.
