Moderator Kathy Carson opened the Warner Village Water District annual meeting at Warner Town Hall on March 19, 2024, and the district conducted officer elections and a budget vote.
The meeting unanimously elected Herm Blanchette to a two-year commissioner term and Daniel Lavoie to a three-year commissioner term. With no other candidates nominated, Carson directed Clerk James F. McLaughlin to cast one ballot for each candidate; both were declared elected by unanimous vote.
The meeting also re-elected James F. McLaughlin as clerk for a one-year term and elected Christine Perkins as treasurer for a one-year term. Those nominations were made and seconded; with no other candidates the Clerk cast one ballot for each and the Moderator declared them elected unanimously.
Members then considered the Budget Committee’s recommendation to raise and appropriate $506,879 for the operation, maintenance and improvement of the district’s water and sewer systems. The article had been recommended by the District Commissioners and by the Budget Committee and was approved by unanimous voice vote.
With no further business legally before the meeting, attendees approved a motion to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 7:10 P.M. The minutes were respectfully submitted by Clerk James F. McLaughlin.
