Duston Island Task Force appoints Lorrie Carey chair, sets July and August schedule

The Duston Island Task Force unanimously appointed Lorrie Carey as chair at its June 29 meeting after Mason Donovan moved and Denise Pouliot seconded the motion.
Katie Phelps declined nomination as chair, saying she is an alternate member. The roll-call vote recorded Mason Donovan, Josiah Morrow (attending remotely), Lorrie Carey, Denise Pouliot, Elaine Clow and Gary Waters as voting "yes," and the motion passed without opposition.
The group noted that because Josiah Morrow attended remotely, it was not reasonably practical for him to attend in person and all votes would be by roll call. Members agreed to meet once in July to assess progress and to schedule additional meetings as needed to meet an August 1 deadline for panel drafts tied to an EPA grant. Mason Donovan later moved to adjourn at 6:40 p.m.; Gary Waters seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
