Sanbornton planning board approves early subdivision regulation edits, backs Edmunds property inspection quote

The Sanbornton Planning Board on Feb. 5 approved a series of edits to the town’s subdivision regulations through Section 7 and recommended a contractor inspection for the Edmunds property.
Chairman Andy Sanborn moved to approve the regulatory edits discussed at the workshop; Selectman Representative Ralph Carter seconded and the motion passed 5-0-0. The changes approved include wording edits in Section 5.2.D (board action) and removal of two options for standard sheet sizes in Section 6.A.2 of the application requirements, among other drafting adjustments.
As part of the same round of edits, the board voted on a contested technical change to plan requirements: members approved a motion to reduce the required contour line interval in Section 6.B.15 from 20 feet to 5 feet. The motion passed 3-2-0; Vice Chairman Tom Lynch and member Jody Slack voted against the change. The minutes record that the contour-interval motion was made and then approved without naming a mover or seconder in the text.
Earlier in the Subdivision Regulation discussion, Selectman Representative Ralph Carter proposed adding the phrase "along that road" to Definition 20 (Roads). Chairman Andy Sanborn moved to accept the revision; Carter seconded and the motion passed 4-1-0 with Will Ellis opposed.
On separate business, Chairman Sanborn moved that the board recommend the North Point inspection quote for the Edmunds property to the Selectboard; Jody Slack seconded and the motion passed 5-0-0. The minutes record the board’s recommendation but do not specify the dollar amount of the quote.
The board also briefly reviewed RV permit language and agreed that several members want to revise that section after the RV language is voted on; no vote or schedule for that revision was recorded. Sanbornton’s Planning Board Assistant Stephen Laurin is listed in the attendance; the minutes do not record any staff presentation or further detail about the RV language.
