Finance committee approves grants, procurement items and a $3.55M Coliseum resurfacing contract

On capital projects, the committee approved a request to procure engineering services to widen Weber Boulevard and awarded a bid for Coliseum Performing Arts & Convention Center resurfacing and site improvements to Banks Construction Co. Inc., low bidder Charles Stock Line, in the amount of $3,548,992.44.
The committee also approved a second amendment to a purchase-and-sale agreement with Navy Yard Master JBLP (a Delaware limited partnership) to extend the closing date and accepted a School Resource Officer grant from the South Carolina Department of Public Safety. Finally, the committee consented to include a parcel (Rivers Landing, 2151 Morris Baker Boulevard, TMS 4780700013) in the Charleston & Colleton County Joint County Business Park to allow incentives for attainable housing.
