Salisbury accepts donation of fire hose from Sunapee Fire Commissioners, values set at $6,000

Fire Chief Bill MacDuffie Jr. told the board the hose were not brand new and asked for a lower valuation than the original new-purchase price listed in the donation paperwork. The board set the estimated value of the donation at $6,000 and Chair Selectman Jim Hoyt moved to accept the donation; Selectman David Kelly seconded and the motion passed with no opposition.
The donation was recorded as accepted at the meeting; the board did not attach conditions beyond recording the reasonable estimated value for municipal accounting purposes.
