Commission reports partial trail work at McLaughlin property, kiosk planned for trailhead

The Salisbury Conservation Commission reported progress on trail work at the McLaughlin property during its Jan. 28 meeting.
Chairman Michael Rossetti, Member Leonida Rasenas, Alternate Member Mike Vogt and volunteer Evynne Gibson cut roughly half of the planned trail this winter and plan to complete the remaining work in spring. Member Paula Munier Lee said her husband, Michael Lee, volunteered to construct a kiosk to mark the trailhead.
Commission members recorded the update as part of old business; no formal vote or funding request was made at the meeting. The commission’s recorded plan is to resume trail work in spring when weather and ground conditions are more favorable.
