Salisbury commission backs concurrence for wetlands crossing at proposed Hensmith Road subdivision

The Salisbury Conservation Commission on Jan. 28 reviewed a minor wetlands permit application submitted to the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services for a proposed six-lot subdivision on Hensmith Road (Salisbury Tax Map 239, Lot 25).
Agent Audra L. Klumb and property owner Gregory Ballam described the application, which requests a minor wetlands permit to allow 120 square feet of permanent wetland disturbance and 19 square feet of temporary wetland disturbance associated with the proposed subdivision. Commission members said they had no concerns with the proposed wetland crossing.
Chairman Michael Rossetti said the commission would not oppose the plan and would formalize that position by email. The commission agreed that Rossetti would compose and send a concurrence message to the permitting authority.
The commission did not take a formal recorded vote on the application at the meeting; members expressed concurrence informally and directed the chair to communicate that position to NHDES. The commission recorded the application in its current business and noted the related parcel and disturbance amounts for the permitting record.
Next procedural steps for the applicant will follow the NHDES permitting process; the commission’s concurrence is recorded in the minutes as support for the proposed crossing.
