Charles Mix County approves three plats and a temporary alcohol permit for Dante event

Plats approved: The board approved the PLAT of Svatos Bay Campground, LLC, in the N½ of the NW¼ of Section 29, T96N, R65W of the 5th P.M., White Swan Township (near 382nd Ave and 295th St); the PLAT of Lhotak Lot 3 in parts of Section 33, T96N, R63W of the 5th P.M., Bryan Township (near 394th Ave and 296th St); and Lot 1, Vanderheiden First Subdivision in the SW¼ of Section 21, T99N, R67W of the 5th P.M., Darlington Township (near 370th Ave and 277th St). Each plat was moved, seconded and approved unanimously.
Temporary alcohol permit: The board opened a public hearing on Temporary Alcoholic Beverage Permit #2026-01 for the Dante Fire Department for the Dante Tractor and Truck Pull (scheduled for July 19, 2026, approximately 1 mile east of Dante near 401st Ave and 300th St). With no protest present, the board approved the permit (motion by Commissioner Nick Stotz, second by Vice Chairman Kory Standy).
What happens next: Approved plats will be filed per county procedures and the Dante Fire Department may operate under the temporary permit for the specified event. The minutes do not list conditions attached to the permit; the permit number and date are recorded in the meeting minutes.
