Gil, the park and recreation director, told commissioners that a developer-associated representative has requested to meet with the Parks and Recreation Commission about a conceptual plan for a 256-unit rental development on Lilac Lane.
"They are looking to possibly develop trail plans that would go into Shonloffen and which will involve us," Gil said. He said the public hearing on the conceptual plan is scheduled for June 23 at the library and that representatives from the developer (recorded in the transcript as from a company called Hay Day and an individual spelled in the transcript as "Ryan Swing Grubber") may appear before the commission in July to present concept plans and solicit feedback.
Commissioners discussed logistics for a follow-up neighborhood meeting and whether to host a larger public forum; scheduling constraints from other commission calendars were noted. Staff and commissioners agreed to coordinate dates (options discussed included July 8, July 21 and July 29) and to check developer availability before finalizing an on-site or chamber meeting. Gil noted developers may request changes to the core plan designation for part of the parcel under discussion.
No formal action or vote on the project occurred; the item remains at the conceptual stage and will be further discussed after the June 23 public hearing.
