The Upper Saint Clair School District board voted June 15 to adopt a $111,566,288 general fund budget for the 2026–27 school year and separately approved a real estate millage rate of 32.4605 mills, a 3% increase.
Mr. Burchill presented the recommended budget. "We have proposed the same general fund budget amount as was presented for the preliminary final budget at $111,566,288," he said. Mr. Kyle moved to adopt the budget; the motion was seconded and carried.
After adopting the budget, the board considered Resolution No. 20260615A to establish the district's real estate millage rate at 32.4605 mills for fiscal year 2026–27. Mr. Kyle moved the resolution, which the board approved.
District officials said the millage-setting resolution and the budget vote are separate legal steps. Administration noted the homestead/farmstead reduction affects about 5,980 properties and provided an example assessed‑value reduction figure per property for tax bills.
The board did not receive resident public comment at the meeting. The budget action was the principal formal fiscal decision at the session; any budgetary transfer or borrowing tied to capital projects would require further board authorization.
