South Londonderry supervisors reappoint manager, set 2021 wages and administrative posts

The board reappointed William Reigle as police chief and designated Commonwealth Code Inspection Services and Associated Building Inspections (ABI) as building inspectors for 2021. The minutes record the Codes Enforcement Officer position remained vacant.
The board made multiple liaison and commission appointments: Supervisor Jack Custer was appointed to the Palmyra Area Recreation Commission, Dot Ague was named to the Vacancy Board, Supervisor Bill Bova to the South Londonderry Township Fire Board, Ron Fouche and Lisa Daubert as liaisons to the Earned Income Tax Bureau, and Douglas Olt as liaison to the Greater Lebanon Refuse Authority.
Planning and zoning appointments included the appointment of Alex Kinsey to the Planning Commission for a term through Dec. 31, 2024; the minutes record Supervisor Jack Custer abstained on that vote due to a professional relationship with Kinsey’s employer. Travis Aughenbaugh was reappointed to the Zoning Hearing Board for a term through Dec. 31, 2023. The board also reappointed Nestico Druby as Zoning Hearing Board solicitor and Garcia Garman & Shea, PC as independent auditor.
On personnel and finance policy, the board approved a 3% wage increase for all non-uniform employees and confirmed that wages for uniformed employees will follow the applicable collective bargaining agreement. The board reaffirmed employee benefits as provided in the collective bargaining agreement and the employee handbook. The Treasurer’s and Assistant Treasurer’s bond was set at $1,000,000, or the amount required under the Second-Class Township Code.
