Merrimack County Attorney candidate Sarah Rogers outlines priorities to Boscawen Select Board

Sarah Rogers, a candidate for Merrimack County Attorney, spoke to the Boscawen Select Board during the public comment period on July 1, outlining her prosecutorial experience and priorities.
Rogers said she was born and raised in Merrimack County and reviewed her experience as a prosecutor in Rockingham, Hillsborough and Merrimack counties. She told the board she has "completed 49 criminal jury trials" and described work with children and crime victims including involvement with CASA of New Hampshire and experience in the Merrimack County court system.
Her priorities, she said, would include supervision and accountability within the County Attorney’s Office, stricter enforcement of bail conditions when violations occur, improved tracking and reporting of trial and case data, and consistent communication with and support for crime victims.
Selectwoman Lorrie Carey, Chairman Matt Burdick and Selectman Josh Crawford thanked Rogers for appearing. No board action was taken; Rogers' remarks were part of the public comment period.
