The Brentwood Public Works Committee voted unanimously May 14 to approve a Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (MSD) OMCI contract that will reimburse the city up to $125,219 for work on its previously adopted stormwater master plan.
Staff explained Brentwood is entirely within MSD’s Deer Creek OMCI boundaries, which collect a separate property-tax share used for watershed projects. MSD requested copies of invoices, canceled checks and completion of its project agreement so OMCI funds can be disbursed toward Brentwood’s stormwater master plan, which Gonzalez Companies prepared and which was adopted via Resolution 1312 in 2021.
Alderwoman Nancy Parker Tice moved to approve MSD’s OMCI contract; Alderwoman Michele Goad seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
Staff noted the agreement obligates the city to provide documentation to MSD and that reimbursement is contingent on MSD’s review and execution of the project agreement. The committee took no new policy action to change the master plan itself; this vote approves accepting OMCI reimbursement consistent with the previously adopted plan.
Next steps: staff will assemble the requested invoices and project documentation and forward them to MSD to complete project-agreement formalities and trigger reimbursement.
