At its June 17 meeting, the TV POA board approved multiple capital requests across golf operations and public works.
Golf operations recommended selecting EZ GO for a new cart fleet based on cost, features (PACE technology, GPS) and administrative tools (GolfLogix). The finance committee recommended a leasing approach and the board approved the EZ GO lease with GPS and management application.
The board approved a replacement three‑quarter‑ton pickup truck for golf maintenance — a Ford F‑250 from Jackie Jones Ford with an extended‑warranty option — at $61,807.29 to be paid from general reserves. The motion passed unanimously.
Public works presented two water and sewer capital requests. Directors approved $37,061 (approx.) to replace two variable frequency drives (VFDs), a control panel and cabinetry at the Tenacity Cove pump station to restore a nonworking VFD and improve durability and SCADA connectivity. Separately, the board approved purchase of a larger‑capacity Vermeer vacuum excavator to speed emergency water/sewer repairs; the purchase price was approximately $80,229.44 and will be paid from water and sewer reserves.
Board members said these investments addressed safety, operational reliability and the need to prepare the utility system for increasing demand as the village grows. Finance staff noted favorable year‑to‑date variances that supported reserve availability for some of the purchases.
