Winchester board approves routine abatements, refund and mileage-rate update

At its Feb. 11 meeting the Winchester Selectboard approved several routine financial and administrative items.
Selectman Jack Marsh moved to approve two water abatements for billing errors — $50 for Map 34 Lot 33 and $50 for Map 25 Lot 14 — and the board voted 3-0 to carry the motion. The board also approved a refund of $3,051 for Map 31 Lot 13 due to an overpayment made during refinancing; Selectman Sepe seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The board approved updating the federal mileage reimbursement rate from $0.70 to $0.72. Selectman Marsh made the motion to adopt the new rate and Selectboard Chair Ben Kilanski seconded; the board recorded a 3-0 vote.
