Licenses and permits approved by roll call included: the victualler (food‑trailer) license for Alan Skinner (Golden Steer LLC, application 61726); a one‑day catering permit for Airport Community Day (file 151603); an amendment to Bullhorn Run Brewing’s on‑premises license to add spirits (RES25‑115002); and a special‑event liquor license for the Eastport Chamber’s Salmon and Seafood Festival (file 151973). The council also approved renewal of an on‑premise liquor license associated with cruise‑ship operations (file 155946).
Personnel and appointments: the council accepted Councilor David Morang’s resignation and appointed Karen Ray to fill the unexpired term through Dec. 31, 2026. The council also appointed Tahiray (Tahiray) Harrison as city clerk, tax collector and registrar of voters and approved her as a bank signatory after confirming she is bonded and enrolled in required training.
Fiscal housekeeping and other actions approved: the council set the allowable interest rate on FY2027 real‑estate tax prepayments at 7%, set the interest commencement date for FY2027 real‑estate tax to Nov. 1, 2026, authorized the tax collector to accept FY2028 prepayments at 0% interest, reallocated $323,130.12 from county tax proceeds to unassigned funds, transferred $22,304 in LRAP funds to capital for road repairs, appropriated $60,000 for targeted road work and approved a bill of sale to transfer four airport utility poles to Versant Power.
Most motions were moved and seconded on the floor and were approved unanimously by roll call votes among council members present. No votes failed at the meeting.
