Museum plans events, merchandise sales and facility repairs; Woodman of the World to donate storage cabinet

The board also proposed hosting a historical-character day and featuring specific collection items for focused display.
The minutes note fundraising plans: Jimmie Davis hymnbooks could be sold for about $10 each, and the museum has Christmas ornaments plus JHHS mugs and plates available for visitors to purchase.
On facilities, Aranda said she photographed leaking top boards on exterior windows and will consult Jackson Parish Police Jury President Todd Culpepper about repairs. The board also discussed allowing guests to use the museum’s Optimum Internet and posting the password for visitor access.
