The Village of Taylor board voted April 28 to go into closed session to consider nominations for the 2026 Civic/Citizen of the Year Award.
President Joe Kniseley recommended the closed session so the nominated individual would remain confidential until presentation. Board member Sheryl Narva made the motion to convene in closed session, seconded by Steve Roseth; the motion carried on a 4-yes vote.
The minutes state the board discussed nominations and the verbiage for a plaque while in closed session. After that discussion, Narva moved and Cierra Rose seconded a motion to reconvene to open session; the motion carried on a 4-yes vote.
The minutes record that the nominations and plaque wording discussed in closed session are confidential and will be kept private until the award is presented.
