Selectmen accept fire department election results; note grader delivery and library events

At their April 14 meeting Springfield Selectmen accepted the results of the Fire Department’s April 8 election and recorded several routine department updates.
The Fire Department announced its officers: Fire Chief Ian MacMillan; Deputy Chief Ray Abair; Captain Cooper Haley; EMS Coordinator Katie Axelrod; President John Hanson; and Secretary Jen Roberts. The board voted to accept the election results.
Highway Department staff reported the new grader arrived and crews will focus on grading and ditching. The library announced community care events hosted by Mascoma Health Center on April 30 at noon and May 8 at 5:30 p.m., and that an Alice Nulsen memorial mural is moving forward. Recreation reported a successful Easter event and is planning Memorial Day and Old Home Day activities.
No formal board actions beyond accepting the fire election results were recorded on these items.
