Supervisor Heiden moved and Supervisor Schultz seconded Resolution 2026-25 to temporarily loan $39,982.15 from the HCCMS Family Planning Fund (#0040) to the General Basic Fund (#0001) to fund Department #13 (HCCMS), citing delayed grant reimbursements. The resolution references Section 331.432 of the Code of Iowa. Voting aye were Supervisors Schultz, Muhlbauer, Dozark, Heiden and Rosburg; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also approved Resolution 2026-26, moved by Supervisor Schultz and seconded by Supervisor Rosburg, transferring $356,521.45 from the General Basic Fund (#0001) into the Community Health Fund (#0003). That measure passed on a unanimous vote.
In other formal actions, Supervisor Rosburg moved and Supervisor Schultz seconded approval to purchase three 2027 Ford F-250 trucks from Team Ford at $53,653.00 apiece, for a total of $160,959.00. The motion passed unanimously.
The board approved wage changes for Zach Rasmussen (Emergency Management Coordinator) and Ryan Lode (IT Director) and approved corrected wage changes for Secondary Roads bargaining unit employees. It also approved the hiring of Shawn Hansen as Maintenance Employee IV in the Engineer’s Office. The minutes record these personnel actions as approved but do not identify who made the motions for those items.
The board adjourned at 12:17 p.m.; agendas for the next meeting are posted at the courthouse the Friday before the meeting. The minutes include the audit-style fiscal year-end cash count conducted July 1, which recorded small departmental cash totals and showed Supervisor Rosburg absent for that session.
