Fayette County commissioners approved a package of routine and project items on July 8, including an ARPA drawdown for a trail project, personnel ratifications and several administrative motions.
County staff asked the commission to approve Resolution No. 4 to draw $19,171.60 from the county’s ARPA contribution — $17,827 for Tarradon invoicing and $1,344.60 for Region 4 administration — to pay for the Fayette County soft‑surface trail project. "The sum of all invoices combined is $19,171.60, which we would request from the Fayette County Commission's ARPA contribution," the staff presenter said. Commissioner Taylor moved to approve the grant drawdown; the motion passed by voice vote.
Commissioners also ratified hires for emergency dispatch and animal shelter operations. The commission approved payroll and minutes for several prior meeting dates, accepted estate settlements, and approved a standard memorandum of understanding related to municipal election publication responsibilities (PACE), with staff directed to circulate minor edits as needed.
A part‑time office employee was authorized a $100 petty cash float for day‑to‑day accounting; the commission also instructed one vendor (Nuttall) to resubmit illegible receipt copies totaling $151.00 for verification before payment.
What’s next: The staff will finalize edits to the election‑publication MOU and circulate the letter drafted by 'John' for finalization. The ARPA drawdown will proceed per the approved resolution.
