City of Thorp adopts 2023 General Fund budget with $524,347 levy

Mayor Richard Wnek called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. at Thorp City Hall and the council opened a public hearing on the proposed budget. Alderperson Einhorn moved to open the hearing, seconded by Alderperson Abramczak; the motion carried, 4–0. No members of the public spoke during the hearing.
With no public commentary and no recommended changes, Alderperson Korn moved to adopt the budget as proposed, and Alderperson Rosemeyer seconded. The motion to adopt the 2023 General Fund Operating Budget with a levy of $524,347 passed, 4–0.
The agenda listed no comments from pre-registered citizens and no department reports. The meeting adjourned at 6:40 p.m. The minutes and signatures on the published record show Mayor Richard Wnek and Clerk-Treasurer Michele Pogodzinski as official signatories.
