Thorp council unanimously approves wastewater pay apps, police vehicle, pool repairs and hires public works employee

The council also voted to offer a Public Works position to Jordan Dieck pending a background check at $22.50 per hour.
The actions were largely procedural and unanimous. Jeff Nusbaum of engineering firm Short Elliott Hendrickson told the council that "the site restoration, including seeding, addition of erosion control mats, and rock removal, has been completed" at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, and David Walter said the city was awarded 40% principal forgiveness on a DNR Safe Drinking Water Fund loan. Council members agreed to include the alley near the post office in the 2026 street project.
