Jeff Kahle elected Tomahawk council president; three members take Oath of Office

The Tomahawk Common Council elected Jeff Kahle as Council President on April 15 after Mayor Steven E. Taskay asked for nominations. Councilmember Mickey Loka nominated Kahle and Mike Loka seconded; the council voted unanimously to elect Kahle.
Earlier in the meeting Clerk/Treasurer Amanda L. Bartz administered the Oath of Office to Mickey Loka, Jeff Kahle and Tadd Wegener. The oath was part of the opening proceedings that also included roll call and a mayoral-led Pledge of Allegiance.
The council conducted routine business following the leadership vote, including approvals of minutes, financial items and a slate of event permits and administrative appointments. The next regular council meetings were set for April 29, 2025 (5:00 p.m.) and May 6, 2025 (5:30 p.m.).
