Town of Babylon adopts consensus resolutions, tables two items to Aug. 5

The Town of Babylon board adopted its consensus resolution agenda at the July 8, 2026 meeting and approved a series of individual resolutions listed on the agenda.
Several resolutions were approved by voice vote or roll call as noted on the record. For Resolution 515 the clerk called roll and recorded five votes in favor and none opposed (Councilman Mineta: Yes; Councilman Martinez: Yes; Councilman McSweeney: Yes; Councilman Gregory: Yes; Supervisor Schaffer: Yes). Several other resolutions were approved by voice vote on consent.
The board tabled Resolution 5-11 to the Aug. 5 meeting by motion and later tabled Resolution 5-23 (the Milk and Things matter) to the Aug. 5 meeting so the owner can work with the Town Attorney's Office on a sales and monitoring agreement. The clerk announced the tablings on the record.
No detailed roll-call tallies were recorded on the transcript for every individual resolution beyond the explicit roll call for Resolution 515; where the meeting used voice votes the board recorded approval on the record. The board adjourned at the end of its open portion.
