Thorp council approves routine contracts, licenses and policies in unanimous votes

• Approval of the Feb. 9, 2026 meeting minutes (M/M/S Lawcewicz, Enkers). • Approval of the Clerk-Treasurer’s financial report, vouchers, payroll register, and journal entries (M/M/S Abramczak, Lawcewicz). • Use of revenue from gun sales and police donations to purchase a laptop for the new police squad (M/M/S Abramczak, Lawcewicz). • Approval of Class “A” Beer and Class “A” Liquor licenses for Propel Energy LLC for the remainder of the license year (M/M/S Enkers, Lawcewicz). • Adoption of the City of Thorp Conflict of Interest Policy for Federal Awards (M/M/S Abramczak, Einhorn). • Acceptance of a street-sweeping contract with Whirlwind Sweeping for three passes at a cost of $19,200 (M/M/S Lawcewicz, Enkers). • Authorization to purchase the blue granite needed for a walking trail (53 tons at an estimated $7.73 per ton reported in the minutes) (M/M/S Lawcewicz, Abramczak). • Continuation of the lawn mower trade-in program with the annual trade-in option at a cost of $1,700 (M/M/S Abramczak, Lawcewicz).
The minutes also record that SEH engineer David Walter was present to update council on projects and that Alderperson Enkers raised a potential ordinance question regarding Cluster Box Units in the Shirecrest Development. There were no pre-registered citizen comments. The meeting adjourned at 8:04 p.m.
