Townsend officials report contractor selection and post bids for new town hall

Commissioner Ken Schwebke said a dumpster is scheduled to arrive next Monday, a general contractor has been selected and bids for the new construction were posted that day. The commission noted the next meeting date would be Aug. 6, 2024, at 5 p.m., if necessary.
Commissioner Joanne Jones moved to adjourn at 5:53 p.m.; Commissioner Willie Evans seconded and the motion carried. The minutes were later approved Oct. 1, 2024 and signed by Secretary Linda Ziegler.
