The resolution lists the precise account allocations: $25,000 to contracted construction services (62000-399), $30,000 to crushed stone (62000-409), $40,000 to metal pipe (62000-440), $10,000 to equipment maintenance (63100-336), $15,000 to vehicle repairs (63100-338), $4,000 to lubricants (63100-433), $10,000 to natural gas (63500-434) and $106,417.98 to asphalt (63500-404). The TEMA proceeds were appropriated to account 63100-424 (garage supplies).
County staff told commissioners the reimbursements come from federal and state disaster programs for post-storm emergency work and should cover recent expenditures on emergency repairs and materials. The appropriation will allow crews to replenish materials and pay outstanding invoices while crews continue routine maintenance and recovery work.
Why it matters: Greene County officials said the funds will reduce pressure on the general fund and make it possible to move forward with road repairs, drainage work and materials purchases needed after the storm. The allocations were approved by roll call vote.
