The presenter described the supervisor of special education as responsible for ensuring IEPs meet legal requirements and for managing special education programs. The assistant superintendent position is described as coordinating programming, managing resources, supporting data analysis, and working with building administration. Several resignations and internal movements were also listed (teaching assistants moving into teaching roles, resignations of a licensed practical nurse and other noninstructional staff), and the board approved related probationary and term appointments.
Board members asked questions and the superintendent clarified that some staff are shifting roles rather than leaving the district.
