Alicia Cho, speaking for the Tower Foundation, said the organization was "thrilled to be able to present this gift" and called the classroom support "always wonderful" for the school community. The board recorded the acceptance by voice vote, 5–0.
The board also approved the $222 gift given in memory of Pat Chanzer, a former director of special education and personnel services; the administration said those funds will be used for an outing for attendees of the district's youngest extended summer program. Post read a brief biography of Pat Chanzer and acknowledged Chanzer’s family in the audience.
The donation will be administered by district staff; the board did not specify a timeline for project implementation during the meeting. Administration and trustees characterized the gifts as well‑received and noted they will be used for specified student programming.
The board moved on to the rest of its agenda following the gift acceptance.
