The board also resolved to create a new material clerk position, a 12‑month full‑time post to be accreted to Local 237 (International Brotherhood of Teamsters) and to report to the district's purchasing agent. Stacy O'Connor, responding to a question, said the change centralizes multiple decentralized warehouses and driver/messenger roles under purchasing to increase efficiency, reduce overtime, and reduce positions by combining staff for larger jobs.
The superintendent was authorized to execute a memorandum of agreement with the Brentwood Teachers Association dated June 18, 2026, relating to acceptable graduate credit for salary adjustment purposes. During public comment a resident asked that the text of that memorandum be read aloud; district staff later clarified the agreement concerns professional development credits being used as in‑service credits rather than graduate credit.
Consent agenda items B1a–B1m and other routine personnel and non‑certificated personnel reports were approved by voice vote. Staff also presented enrollment figures for information: 17,033 students as of April 24, 2026, and 16,996 as of May 29, 2026, along with special‑services breakdowns provided in the board packet.
