The Town of Temple Highway Garage Study Group met Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, at the Town Hall Annex to approve meeting minutes and discuss outreach for the 2025 town meeting, including a draft mailer and a funding timing issue that will affect distribution.
Bruce Kullgren moved to approve the minutes from the group’s Feb. 10 meeting; Matt Cabana seconded and the motion carried unanimously, the minutes state. The minutes record the meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. and adjourned at 6:57 p.m.
Members spent the bulk of the discussion on proposed amendments to articles for the town meeting and on ways to increase turnout. The minutes say the group wanted “to make sure that people go to the town meeting, not just 75 people,” and considered a mailer as one way to encourage attendance. The minutes add that the group “will have to foot the bill on a mailing because our $3,000 had to be spent before end of year per Allen.” The minutes do not attribute those lines to a single speaker.
Clay Lennartz shared a draft paper intended for distribution or posting that the minutes describe as “a good start” and said he would rework it for the next meeting. Amy Cabana agreed to prepare the committee report for the town meeting.
Old Business and Other Business were recorded as none. The group set its next meeting for Feb. 21 at 6:00 p.m. in the Annex. Amy Cabana moved to adjourn; Bruce Kullgren seconded, and the minutes record the meeting ended at 6:57 p.m.
The minutes were submitted by Heidi Thibodeau, Secretary.
