Temple task force to seek Clean Energy NH advice, ask Eversource about upgrade for 50 kW solar design

The Temple Renewable Energy Task Force on Monday approved minutes from its Feb. 19 meeting and set next steps to advance a local solar procurement, including outreach to Clean Energy NH and the utility.
Rob Wills, chair of the task force, called the meeting to order at 7:10 PM and joined members Bev Edwards and Deb DeIeso in approving the draft minutes after Bev Edwards read them aloud. Deb DeIeso moved to approve the minutes; Rob Wills seconded, and the motion passed unanimously.
Members turned to renewable energy plans and reviewed a 2024 state grant application to decide whether material from that application should be added to an earlier request for proposals (RFP) that the task force sent to three local solar installers. Citing uncertainty about available grant funding and concerns from state experts about the application timeframe, the group concluded it would be more productive to revisit the original RFP and seek outside technical advice before taking further steps.
As a result, the task force assigned several follow-ups: Bev Edwards will contact Frank Richter of Clean Energy NH, send him the original RFP for comment, and invite him to the next meeting; Rob Wills will call Eversource to request a cost estimate to upgrade service from 100‑amp single‑phase to 200‑amp three‑phase — the capacity the members said would support a 50 kW panel design; and Bev will forward the original RFP and the three vendor responses to Rob and Deb.
The group recorded that “Community Power for Temple is ongoing” and that there were no additional resident questions beyond those already addressed. The task force set its next meeting for March 19 at 7:00 PM and adjourned at 8:10 PM.
