The Selectmen of the Town of Surry on Oct. 6 approved the Sept. 23 meeting minutes and completed routine administrative tasks including signing payroll, bills, EFTPS and quarterly reports.
Selectman Ron Profaizer motioned to accept the minutes; Selectman Jay Croteau seconded the motion and the Selectmen agreed to accept the minutes as presented. The board later recorded a motion to adjourn, which was seconded and agreed to by the Selectmen; the meeting ended at 9:15 p.m.
Administrative actions recorded in the minutes include a driveway permit signed by Selectman Jay Croteau for Matt Goodwin and an upcoming building permit scheduled for the following week. The minutes also note a Stebbins painting quote placed in the 2025 budget folder: $6,000 for the porch and $1,500 for interior posts, and discussion of breaking the work into smaller items for cost‑effectiveness. Selectman Jay Croteau reported researching RSA 447:16 and recorded a bond amount of $125,000 in a correction to the Sept. 23 minutes.
