Wausau resident asks for written reason after she says mayor removed her from transit commission

"I do not understand the sudden change, and I'm asking for a written reason to explain the sudden change of the term available to me," Cathy said, asking the commission for information on how to appeal the mayor's determination and for a copy of the city's policy on maximum term limits.
Deborah Ryan, who identified herself as a Westies neighborhood advocate and said she previously served on the transit commission, said she was concerned the city clerk "overstepped his boundaries" and urged the commission to correct procedural problems. She also recommended regular American Disabilities Act training for commissioners.
The chair thanked Cathy for her years of service and said the commission values her input; commissioners did not take formal action on the request during the meeting and no written response was provided on the record.
