Christine Robidoux told the board that preliminary FEMA flood maps are available on the town’s new website and recommended the board begin work on a floodplain ordinance after March. Board members agreed the New Hampshire Office of Planning & Development will provide assistance in drafting the ordinance.
Board members also discussed related housekeeping matters in old business, including continued tax-map corrections tracked in an online spreadsheet and at least one upcoming vacancy on the planning board. No final action or adoption of a floodplain ordinance occurred at the Jan. 6 meeting; the board set timing and identified state assistance to support the drafting work.
