Council sets 2027 campground rates, reduces convenience fees and allows limited extended reservations

The Shell Lake council approved a series of Parks & Recreation motions setting 2027 campground rates by site group, reducing convenience fees for ATV and Lake campgrounds, and allowing extended reservations for select ATV sites to be revisited after the 2027 season.
At its May 11 meeting, the council approved multiple Parks & Recreation recommendations on campground pricing and reservation policy for 2027.
The council voted to reduce the convenience charge to $7.50 for the ATV campground and $10.00 for the Lake campground. It confirmed a $45 per‑night rate for the ATV campground in 2027. For the Lake campground, the council set 2027 nightly rates as follows: sites 1–12 at $65.00/night; sites 13–37 at $50.00/night; and sites 39–47 at $40.00/night. The council also approved allowing campers to reserve stays beyond two weeks at ATV campground sites 2–5, with the policy subject to reconsideration after the 2027 season.
Parks & Recreation also recommended and the council accepted a $2,950 quote from Court Surfaces & Repair, Inc. to perform court repairs. Those motions carried without recorded opposition.
