The Surry selectmen met Sept. 30, 2024, approved the minutes and handled routine administrative business, including signing payroll and paying bills.
The meeting, called to order at 7:00 p.m., recorded agreement to appoint Jason Hammond as assistant Town Clerk and to appoint Bruce Smith to the Budget Committee. The Budget Committee meeting was scheduled for Oct. 9, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., and Selectman Ron Profaizer said he would post the notice on the town website. The board also signed and mailed the MS-60A form to DRA.
Selectman Jay Croteau motioned to accept the minutes; Selectman Steve Goldsmith seconded and the board agreed. The minutes record that the selectmen signed payroll and paid bills during the session. The meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m. after a motion by Selectman Ron Profaizer, seconded by Selectman Steve Goldsmith.
Other administrative items discussed included a confirmed building permit for Jason Anyan's garage and a discussion of the driveway permit process for Matt Goodwin. Several follow-up tasks were assigned, including a response from Jay Croteau to an inquiry involving Trout Unlilmited and a website posting for the Budget Committee meeting.
The selectmen did not record any contested votes at this meeting; all listed actions were recorded as agreed by the board.
