On the childcare project, staff said they wrote an RFP that includes options for an alternate 4‑unit bid and an alternate 6‑unit bid; the RFP bundles site work and landscaping so a single contractor would handle site preparation and finishes. Staff recommended advertising in the local newspaper for a 30‑day period with a planned bid closing of July 24 and advised the board it retains authority to reject bids that are not qualified.
The board moved, seconded and approved soliciting bids for construction of phase 2 of the childcare project.
