Gunderson replied that commercial property owners may create a unified sign package for tenants and that staff lacks authority to grant dimensional departures from the ordinance; he emphasized downtown signage should preserve the historic look and feel.
Commissioner Craig moved to approve the sign application; Commissioner Nelson seconded and the Commission voted 4‑0 to grant approval.
