Slinger RDA continues review of Comprehensive Plan amendments and rezoning proposals for Village Center

Community Development Director Dyann Benson presented maps and a spreadsheet summarizing earlier RDA and Planning Commission discussions about possible Comprehensive Plan map changes and rezonings for Slinger’s Village Center–Downtown district.
Benson explained that zoning map amendments can be beneficial where parcels currently carry split zoning and that staff will notify affected property owners before any formal change. The materials provided to the RDA compared suggested use changes with the Redevelopment District #2 Project Plan and the Comprehensive Plan.
The RDA did not take final action on any amendments or rezonings at the Feb. 3 meeting. Benson said staff will continue to work on draft amendments and bring final changes to a future meeting, with public hearings as required by state law.
