The Godley Independent School District board unanimously approved final budget amendments for the 2025–26 fiscal year designed to close out the year and prepare the district for audit.
A district financial presenter described the amendments as a routine year-end transfer: projected surplus funds were allocated to appropriate functions and are planned to be recaptured into fund balance following the financial audit. Krista Heiner moved to approve the amendments and Simone seconded; trustees voted in favor with no dissent.
Earlier in the meeting the board convened in closed session at 6:22 p.m. under Texas Government Code §551.074 to discuss personnel matters and returned at 7:46 p.m.; the president reported that no action was taken while in closed session.
Trustees indicated the amendments enable the district to move to the audit phase; the motion to approve the amendments passed unanimously on the public record.
