Council pauses on $150,000 roundabout art project pending safety and design review

Council consensus: rather than immediately selecting a finalist, council directed staff and the Art Committee to refine design and safety specifications, expand community input among nearby residents and return with clearer siting, visualizations and engineering guidance before making a selection or reissuing the RFQ.
Next steps: Staff will work with Planning & Zoning and Engineering to identify safety constraints and produce scope/criteria that can be used for a revised RFQ or finalist adjustments; the Art Committee will provide additional renderings and community outreach.
