The committee chair said the free summer concert series hosted by the Fostoria Community Arts Council will take place Sunday, June 21 at 7:30 p.m. at Foundation Park, with patriotic music by the Fostoria Community Band; grant support was cited from the Gary Family Foundation and the Greater Toledo Community Foundation. The committee also announced a Lunch on the Lawn at the municipal building on June 24 featuring Papa Teague and local food vendors, and a ribbon-cutting for a new inclusive playground on June 25 at 4 p.m.
A tire-recycling day, in partnership with the Ohio EPA, is scheduled for Saturday, June 27 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Foundation Park and is free for Fostoria residents (limit 10 tires per household, with or without rims). Rain plans for events and the potential relocation of the concert to Venue 18 Entertainment Complex were also noted.
Committee members framed the events as part of ongoing community engagement and outreach tied to a NatureWorks grant application.
