Ethel told the board she had prepared the RFP and attached the full site plan and floor plan from engineering firm WSN. The RFP will bundle site work and finish landscaping into a single bid package; Ethel said the alternate bid structure would allow the county to choose between a 4‑unit base bid and a 6‑unit alternate depending on bid pricing and budget. She asked for the board’s authorization to publish the advertisement in the newspaper for 30 days and indicated a closing date of July 24.
Commissioner Kopitsky moved to solicit bids for construction of phase 2 of the childcare project; the motion passed by voice vote. Ethel said she would post the RFP on the county website and accept bids for evaluation. The board retained discretion to reject any or all bids if they do not meet qualifications or budget constraints.
