MPO board swaps federal safety dollars to fund CityBus replacements, frees local funds for Paramount Drive improvements

Doug Poad, APC staff, said the MPO flexed Federal Highway safety funds to a CityBus vehicle-replacement project so that the Paramount Drive safety project could proceed using CityBus's local funds.
The swap was presented as a funding-source adjustment rather than a reduction in the Paramount Drive scope: APC staff said the Paramount Drive work will still include sidewalk, bus-stop and connection improvements, but CityBus will fund that work locally while the federal safety funds are redirected to replace buses. The Technical Transportation Committee reviewed the change at last month's meeting, and APC staff recommended adoption.
The board adopted Resolution T-26-06 by unanimous roll call vote. The minutes do not identify the motion mover or second; the roll call vote was recorded as unanimous among members present.
