East Haven schedules Feb. 4 hearing on zoning change for accessory outdoor dining

Town staff notified the Economic Development Commission Jan. 14 that the Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing Feb. 4 on a proposed text amendment to the East Haven Zoning Regulations.
Rich Coppola said the item, filed as Application No. 25-29, would add rules governing accessory outdoor dining areas for restaurants and food service establishments. Coppola identified the public hearing date but the commission did not debate the substance of the amendment at the Jan. 14 meeting; the item was listed in his director's report.
The planning commission will hold the hearing on Feb. 4, 2026. Members of the public who wish to comment on the proposed changes should consult Planning & Zoning notice postings or the commission's agenda for hearing logistics and submission requirements.
