"That was $77,000 that we were anticipating that we did not get," he said. He said the grant had not been canceled and the district remained hopeful. He also noted increased BOCES costs required moving funds between budget lines to balance expenditures.
Board members asked clarifying questions about timelines and next steps; the administrator said the drainage work requires coordinated design with architects and that the capital project would be the vehicle for a permanent solution. He also described staff efforts to scope and milled out the drain blockage and to investigate slab saturation as part of next steps.
The board did not take separate formal action on the capital work in this meeting beyond directing staff to include the fix in the next capital project planning.
